This notification released by the Railways mainly includes two types of technician grade posts. These vacancies will be filled in all the railway regions across the country.

Note: In addition to the Secunderabad region , which is very useful for candidates from our Telugu states, these recruitments will be held in a total of 21 regions including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Jammu and Srinagar, Kolkata, Malda, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Siliguri, and Gorakhpur.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates who wish to apply for these jobs must have the following educational qualifications depending on the post:

Must have passed 10th Class/SSC along with ITI in the relevant trade.

For some specific posts, those who have completed B.Sc , Degree or Diploma courses are also eligible. (Full details of the educational qualification required for each post will be available in the detailed notification to be released on June 30).
Age Limit
The age of the candidates has been determined based on the posts as follows:

(There are relaxations in age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC and other reserved categories as per government rules).
Salary & Allowances
Those who join the railways get attractive salaries and all the benefits available to central government employees.

For Technician Grade 1 posts: Basic salary is up to Rs. 29,200/- per month .

For Technician Grade 3 posts: Basic salary is up to Rs. 19,900/- per month .

Other allowances: Along with basic pay, DA, HRA, transport allowance and medical facilities are provided as per government norms. All these add up to a hefty salary.
Selection Process
Candidates for these jobs will be selected in a transparent manner, based solely on merit. The selection process will consist of the following steps:

Online Written Test (Computer Based Test – CBT): This is the main test that determines the merit of the candidates.

Document Verification: The certificates of those who qualify the written examination will be verified.

Medical Examination: Fitness tests are conducted for candidates as per Railway standards.
